Pumpkin Painkiller Cocktail

Courtesy Deke Dunne, head bartender and beverage director, Allegory, Washington, D.C.

Painkillers are “for the person with the unabashed sweet tooth,” Dunne declares—“a sweet, delicious, tropical cocktail that hits home every time.” By that logic, this version, incorporating autumnal pumpkin and spiced rum, is Halloween-ready, says Dunne, adding, “What better way to celebrate a holiday that encourages the amassing of as much candy as possible than with a delicious, decadent Painkiller riff?”

2 ounces pineapple juice
1 ounce blood orange juice
